Freddie – May 2012
Lived with Donna and Mike. Freddie was rescued by Donna in Glanwydden, having been found around the house. He eventually came in, very friendly once trust was established. His first year was near-feral, later found to have had a broken tail, broken canine tooth, possibly an injured back and feline influenza that made him snore (he didn’t care)! Freddie lost an eye, probably to a swipe by another cat, and also two more canine teeth. Despite all this there was evidence of his being a willing and extremely effective fighter and he was the most prolific and successful hunter anyone has known! He was finally taken down by kidney failure, but even then he lived around a year longer than the original prognosis. One tough fella!
